Parnassos Literary Society

Members

PARNASSOS is made up of Ordinary, Honorary and Corresponding Members.

In its long journey, among its Members, we will find Prime Ministers, Kings and princesses, Presidents of the Republic, Patriarchs, Academics, Scientists, Writers, Politicians, Businessmen, Artists, etc. Honorary President of L.S. PARNASSOS is the Archbishop of Constantinople, New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. The personalities that made up almost all of its first Members naturally aroused the interest of the Athenian Society at the time, which from the beginning surrounded him with trust and respect and established him as a center of social, spiritual and cultural life with particular radiance.

According to PARNASSOS Statute:

  • Regular Members can become those who can contribute to the achievement of the goals of PARNASSOS. A necessary condition is that they have been nominated by three already registered Members. Regular Members pay an annual subscription to the Literary Society and a one-time registration fee.
  • Honorary Members may be nominated by Members of the Ephoria (Board) of the Literary Society and voted for those distinguished by their excellent education and ability.
  • Corresponding Members can be people who seek to actively contribute in any way in areas relevant to the purpose of the Literary Society, but who reside outside the headquarters of PARNASSOS. Corresponding Members are required to pay an annual subscription, which is half that of Regular Members.
